Pactum Terms of Use

Please read these Terms of Use ("Terms") carefully before using the Pactum mobile application ("App", "Service") operated by devbymeco ("we", "us", "our").

By accessing or using Pactum, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you disagree with any part of the Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

1. Description of Service

Pactum provides a digital platform allowing users to create mutual agreements ("pacts"), track daily or recurring routines, synchronize check-ins, record joint milestones, and exchange motivational reminders with a paired partner.

2. Nature of Pacts & Non-Legal Nature Disclaimer

Pacts, agreements, promises, or goals recorded within Pactum are strictly intended for personal motivational, lifestyle, and relationship habit-tracking purposes.

• Pacts created in the App do not constitute legally binding contracts, enforceable agreements, or financial obligations in any court of law.
• devbymeco is not a party to any personal commitments, arrangements, or disputes between paired users.
• Pactum does not provide relationship counseling, legal counsel, or psychological therapy. The App should not replace professional advice when needed.

3. User Accounts & Partner Pairing

To use Pactum, you may create an account using your email address or supported third-party single sign-on providers (e.g., Apple ID, Google):

• You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and pairing codes.
• Partner pairing requires mutual consent through unique pairing codes. You must only share pairing codes with individuals you know and trust.

4. Acceptable Use & Prohibited Conduct

You agree to use Pactum strictly in a lawful, consensual, and respectful manner. You must not:

• Use the App to harass, threaten, intimidate, abuse, stalk, or coerce your paired partner or any other person.
• Upload, store, or transmit content that violates third-party rights, is defamatory, obscene, or promotes illegal acts.
• Upload, transmit, or solicit any Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) or Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (CSAE / EASI). We maintain an absolute zero-tolerance policy against CSAE as detailed in our published Child Safety Standards.
• Attempt to interfere with, breach, or compromise the security or integrity of our servers and networks.

5. Intellectual Property

The Pactum application, including its user interface, graphics, logo, code, and design assets, is the exclusive intellectual property of devbymeco and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of any personal text, pact descriptions, and notes you create within the App. You grant devbymeco a limited license to host and synchronize this content solely to provide the Service to you and your paired partner.

6. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

Pactum may offer optional premium features or subscriptions:

• All financial transactions are processed securely by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store under their applicable terms of sale.
• Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled at least 24 hours prior through your device account settings.
• Refunds are subject to the policies of the respective application store.

7. Termination & Account Deletion

We may suspend or terminate your access to Pactum immediately, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms or engage in conduct harmful to others.

You may delete your account, active pacts, and paired history at any time directly within the App settings or by visiting our Account Deletion Request Portal.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, devbymeco shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or personal goodwill resulting from your use of or inability to use the App.

9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Spain, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal disputes shall be subject to the competent courts of Spain.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users by posting the updated Terms on this page with a revised "Effective Date". Continued use of Pactum following updates constitutes agreement to the modified Terms.
